The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is pleased to announce a new and improved ACCA MIX Group Speed Networking and Reception event, sponsored by Scorpion, at the ACCA 2022 Conference & Expo, March 28-30 in St. Louis.
The MIX Group Speed Networking and Reception will take place March 27 at 5:00 p.m. CT. It will be enhanced with the implementation of Speed Networking software. Event participants will be asked to complete a brief survey about their group or business. Then the Speed Networking software will match current MIX Group participants and candidates together based on their survey responses, increasing the quality and quantity of connections contractors are able to make.
ACCA's Management Information Exchange (MIX) Group program is one of ACCA’s premier contractor member benefits. HVAC contractors involved in MIX Groups share business information, including marketing and sales strategies, business operations, key performance indicators, and other financial metrics with non-competing contractors to help each other build better businesses. ACCA contractor members that participate in the MIX Group program are some of the most successful contractors in the industry.
“One of the best decisions we made for our business was to join a MIX Group, my only regret is not joining one sooner,” said Renee Lucas, LCS Heating and Cooling LLC owner. “We appreciate the accountability the group gives us all year long, and one of the most valuable parts of being in a MIX Group are the visits to each other's shops each year. We follow a specific agenda to maximize our time, we review everyone's financials, and we have a big focus on the business that we're visiting. Some of the most significant improvements we've made in our business have come from our MIX Group.”
To participate in the Speed Networking event, attendees must be registered for ACCA 2022 Conference & Expo. All contractors are invited to attend the reception. Current MIX Group participants are encouraged to send multiple group members.
“By implementing this new technology at the ACCA 2022 MIX Group reception, we are proactively changing how conversations are started,” said Matt Grizzard, ACCA director of membership and advocacy. “The intuitive Speed Networking software will help current and prospective MIX Group participants connect more easily and efficiently, and spark conversations that can help contractors improve operations and profitability.”
“Scorpion and ACCA share a vision of supporting contractor success, and advancing the industry,” said Kirby Oscar, Scorpion vice president of strategic partnerships. “ACCA offers education, training, and networking opportunities that are unique to the industry, and we are proud of the resources that we have been able to provide to ACCA members through our partnership. Because innovation is key as the industry continues to evolve, we are looking forward to sponsoring the MIX Group reception, which has a new spin this year with a speed networking component.”
