On the weekend of March 4 and 5, after a 728-day hiatus, the PHCC of MA Annual Trade Show and Convention will return to the Royal Plaza Trade Center and Best Western Hotel in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Each year this event brings together about 2,000 tradesmen for a day and half of learning, observing and networking.
On Friday, March 4, the learning will begin with offerings of the State mandated Continuing Education Program Sessions 13 and 14 for plumbing and gas license renewals, happening on May 1, 2022. Following the education sessions, the PHCC of MA Annual Meeting will be held at 4 p.m. at the hotel and all are invited and encouraged to attend. A new slate of officers will be voted in at this time as well as a two year review of the state of the association, projects worked/working on and other industry happenings. At 6:00 p.m., the Presidents Banquet will begin where the new Officers will be sworn into their terms and the three industry awards will be presented. The Sinnot Award, the Bradford Rose Award and the Contractor of the Year Award will be given to members of the industry deserving of these awards. All three are focused on giving back to the community, the industry and the association in a positive way.
Saturday Morning, March 5, begins with the Code Seminar in the Ball Room. Vocational Technical All-Star Students, who have been selected from the over 30 Vocational Programs throughout the State, will be rewarded for their hard work. Chris Yano, Ryno Strategic Solutions, will kick off the meeting. Following, members of the State Board of Examiners of Plumbers and Gasfitters will join the program and review the new code, issued May of 2021, as well as take questions from attendees regarding current and past installation projects. Steve Tanner, Bringing Back the Trades will also be hosting a seminar on the value of a career in the trades. Following, attendees will have a chance to sit in on over 20 learning seminars about current services, product certifications and installations, business topics including marketing, SEO and insurance and host of other classes and seminars. The Trade Show floor will open at the Royal Plaza Trade Center at 10:00 a.m. for contractors to explore and learn what has changed, what is coming and talk to vendors about current and past field installations as well as future solutions.
With just over a week until the event begins, over 1,200 contractors already registered for the event and expect an additional 800 to register between now and the doors opening at the show. Reviewed as the largest East Coast event for the industry, PHCC MA is looking forward to sharing several local companies milestone anniversaries through out the day on Saturday including the 100 year anniversary of Walter Morris Company and the 90 year anniversary of Emerson Swan.
PHCC of MA is affiliated with the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors – National Association (PHCC).
