Kohler Co., owner and operator of Kohler's Power Group — a global leader in engines, power generation and clean energy, announces a new division within its Residential and Power Products business — the Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS) team led by Jennifer Rindt, general manager, HEMS.
Building on Kohler's trusted position as a leading brand in the home, the HEMS team is focused on providing products and services to support one of the home's most critical needs — energy resiliency. The HEMS team is currently active and driving the launch of the Kohler Power Reserve ESS system that's being installed in homes now, following its announcement in May 2021.
"The most dynamic environment in the home today is the increasing need for resilient power and the decreasing reliability of the grid to provide that power. Kohler is looking to solve those problems to make homes safer, cleaner and more efficient," said Brian Melka, group president, Power.
As the demand for reliable power in the home continues to rise, Kohler Co. continues to execute on its clean energy strategy, and the new HEMS division will advance the company's total home energy management vision.
"It's exciting to help accelerate the momentum of our growing Power business and lead a talented team of associates who are enhancing and accelerating our Clean Energy strategy," said Rindt, general manager, HEMS.
