Bluewater Plumbing & Heating, Middle Village, (Queens) N.Y. was named to Fortune’s Inner City 100, the magazine’s ranking of fastest-growing companies in urban centers of the country.

“Current CEO Roger Macaluso founded and built the business from scratch without seeking outside capital,” according to the profile. “Roger always had a sense he wanted to be a business owner and is continuously energized by the company that thrives today.”

The magazine says the business has expanded more than 150 percent in the past five years and “projects an event greater rate of growth in the years to come.”
