The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and Metropolitan Air Conditioning Contractors of New York (MACC) have announced that MACC has become the latest Allied Contracting Organization (ACO) to affiliate with ACCA.
Allied Contracting Organizations are independent associations that partner with ACCA on the advancement of the HVACR industry’s technical excellence, business success, and legislative and regulatory goals. While ACCA and MACC memberships remain separate, both organizations will promote the value of investing in strong representation of the HVACR industry at the local and national levels.
“We are very excited about this partnership and the opportunity to continue advocating on behalf of the HVACR industry,” said James Padavan, president of the MACC Board of Directors and Air Design Inc., Valley Stream, New York. “With the help of ACCA’s advocacy tools and industry knowledge, the voice of New York contractors will be amplified on the local, state, and national levels.”
“When I attended MACC’s Survive & Thrive event in 2019, I was impressed with the powerful local networking opportunities that MACC hosts for its members,” said Barton James, ACCA president and CEO. “We are looking forward to combining the strengths of ACCA’s advocacy and training tools with MACC’s local relationships to support New York contractors and deliver training resources for their entire teams.”
This agreement will help both organizations better represent and support contractors in the New York City area through a unified voice on legislative and regulatory issues, and better cross-promotion and reciprocal discounts on educational programs.
