Porter Pipe & Supply has announced the transition to its third generation of leadership. Current COO Nick Porter has been named as the wholesale supplier’s new CEO, continuing the legacy of this family-owned company.

“To carry the responsibility as CEO in our business is an honor. It’s an opportunity to put myself in service, at a very real level, to the people who work here, to a vision I am passionate about and to a purpose I believe in,” Nick Porter said. “I get to provide leadership and inspiration. I get to spread a message of Faith, of service and of excellence. I get to carry on a legacy started by my grandfather, carried on by my father and my uncle and now carried forward by my brothers and cousins. I get to act as a steward to our people and, ultimately, to the customers and vendors we serve.”

In his tenure as COO, Nick Porter helped carve out a space for Porter Pipe as a leading wholesale supplier serving America with value-added services and industry-leading materials. He follows his father, current CEO and company co-founder, Jim Porter, in this pivotal new role. Jim Porter will remain actively involved with the company, serving as chairman of the board. “I feel both humbled and excited for this transition. This will be our 45th year in business, and I’ll represent the third generation of family leadership in a business that’s filled with family — and people that are genuinely like family,” added Nick Porter. “It’s amazing, and I’ll pour my heart and soul into it. Good things are ahead, that much I can promise.”
