The Water Quality Association has relocated its international headquarters and laboratory to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in suburban Chicago. The new site allows increased capacity, flexibility and efficiency for Gold Seal product certification, laboratory testing, education and training, and membership services.
"We are excited about the possibilities our new headquarters and lab opens for us immediately and for future expansion, too," said WQA Executive Director Pauli Undesser. "Completing the relocation during a pandemic and the corresponding economic uncertainties was a challenge, but it allowed us to focus on exciting days ahead for WQA and its members. We are grateful to our members for their continued support."
Effective March 1, 2021, correspondence should be sent to the following address:
Water Quality Association
2375 Cabot Drive
Lisle, IL 60532
The general WQA telephone number is still 630-505-0160. Individual phone numbers also remain the same.
The WQA Board of Directors officially approved the relocation plan in April 2019, after more than two years of research and planning. Sale of the former headquarters and lab building, which WQA had constructed in 1982, was completed last March, with WQA allowed to maintain business in that space until it could complete the move to the new site about a mile away.
Although most WQA employees have been working remotely since March 2020, the laboratory remained open throughout the pandemic and during the relocation, and other employees have been onsite for relocation and other efforts at both facilities.
The relocation was assisted by a $400,000 "Building Our Vision" capital campaign. Companies who contributed will be honored in a special display at the new headquarters.
