Flomatic Corp., a global valve manufacturer and leader in the water and wastewater industry, has announced the appointment of Nick Farrara as president, effective March 1, 2021.
Farrara will succeed past president Bo Andersson, who will now shift his efforts into developing solutions for the water and wastewater industry, one of his true passions, in his new role of director of research and development for the Boshart Group.
"Congratulations to Nick on his well-deserved promotion as our new president of Flomatic Corp. I am very pleased to leave Flomatic in such good shape and in such well-qualified hands. It has been a pleasure for me to work alongside Nick over the last 25 years. Nick and his team's energy and dedication will continue Flomatic's tradition to manufacture and market high-quality valves for many years to come. I also want to use this opportunity to thank all of our employees for the fifty years we have worked together. Looking back at all the achievements we accomplished together… it has been a pleasure and an incredible journey," Andersson said.
With more than 25 years of service to the company, most recently as executive vice president, Farrara has brought many revolutionary valve products to market. He has been instrumental in the positioning of Flomatic as one of the most reputable valve manufacturers in the industry. His leadership, expertise, and strong business acumen have contributed to the solid execution of operational strategies and substantial growth in the U.S. and International Markets.
Farrara, who holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management from Siena College and has completed post studies at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania, is excited for his new role as president.
"I am honored to be selected and thankful for the trust everyone has placed in me. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Bo Andersson for guiding me and coaching me all these years. It has been a quarter of a century working alongside him; the many lessons, the work ethic, and the dedication to the company and our industry that he has instilled in me are simply invaluable. Lastly, to my colleagues, who are the engine behind everything Flomatic does, thank you for your continued support and dedication, year after year," Farrara said.
Farrara's appointment has been a part of a long-term transition plan set by the Boshart Group, "As part of the third generation of our growing family of companies, I know how important it is to plan for and manage leadership transitions so that we maintain momentum and stay focused on exceeding our customers' expectations," said Jeremy Kuepfer, CEO of the Boshart Group.
Flomatic Corp. will move into the future with renewed energy as they continue on their mission to bring to market 'High-Quality Valve Products Built to Last' with the highest degree of environmental consciousness.
"They say that the only constant in life is change, which I firmly believe in. I do also believe that we must appreciate our past lessons and experiences. As we move toward the future with enthusiasm, energy, and purpose — I look forward to guiding and leading the organization to new heights," Farrara said.
