WallDrain, the revolutionary shower drain from QuickDrain USA, was featured on the Nov. 12, 2020, episode of "This Old House" as part of the Seaside Victorian Cottage Project. The project documents the renovation of an Queen Ann Victorian home in Narragansett, Rhode Island, focused on preserving the home’s historic details, while updating the interior space for modern living. In Episode 4207, a plumber installs a QuickDrain USA WallDrain shower system in the home’s master bath, demonstrating the installation process and WallDrain’s unique features.
Installed directly in the wall, WallDrain creates a low-profile, design-forward shower experience unlike any other. This radically different concept in shower drains allows for the most seamless and unique curbed or curbless shower design possible — by installing the drain in the wall itself — rendering it virtually invisible. Nearly any solid surface tile can be installed in the drain’s magnetic vertical cover. The integrated drain, combined with a pre-sloped shower pan and waterproofing, represents a total shower solution for eliminating leaks and standing water. The ADA- and UPC-approved drain slashes installation time, saves on cost and minimizes impact on customers.
