LIXIL Appoints Trey Northrup as New Leader of Americas Region
October 6, 2020
LIXIL, global pioneer of water and housing products, has brought on a new Americas leader to accelerate business growth through a rapidly changing environment.
Marking LIXIL's advancement into true transformational change, Trey Northrup has been appointed as the new Leader of LIXIL Americas, home to iconic brands American Standard, GROHE and DXV, to drive growth through innovation and to enhance organizational culture. Northrup will continue to build an inclusive and diverse culture that empowers employees to improve speed and flexibility in how the company operates.
"We have been transforming our business and culture, and this process has only accelerated since the pandemic," said Bijoy Mohan, leader of LIXIL International, which includes the Americas region. "Trey is the right person to continue leading us on this journey in the Americas. We set out to find a leader who could build on the work we started to become a more consumer focused organization with brands that meet a wide-range of needs and expectations. Trey's marketing and commercial experience along with his passion for our brands will evolve the way we do business and unleash our capabilities in the marketplace."
Northrup joins LIXIL after nearly 20 years with Whirlpool Corp. where he began his career as a market brand representative with increasing responsibilities culminating in several key leadership roles across the business. Most recently, Northrup oversaw Whirlpool's JennAir and Commercial Laundry Group businesses where he successfully enabled disruptive growth for the business. He has also led commercial execution, new business, sales, marketing and merchandising, among other responsibilities.
"I am thrilled to be leading LIXIL Americas, particularly during such a critical time for the company and the industry," said Northrup. "The world is changing around us, and we must change with it. This new environment requires us to be more agile and innovative to meet the ever-evolving needs of our plumbing customers and consumers."
As LIXIL continues to adapt to this environment, Northrup will lead the charge to enable the company to operate in a more nimble fashion.
"I'm always pushing boundaries," Northrup said. "By empowering people to make decisions they will begin to have new experiences that impact their beliefs to ultimately be more accountable and drive better business results. Our customers and consumers will all benefit from this change."
Northrup holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
