The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) — National Auxiliary presents several awards each year that recognize outstanding humanitarian projects in local communities, as well as an award that recognizes outstanding individual contributions to the Auxiliary.
The Robert M. Cox Awards recognize outstanding projects put forth by the local Auxiliaries, state Auxiliaries and members-at-large (members where there is no state Auxiliary). Awards will be based on activities in the categories of Image and Recruitment. Judging will place entries in the proper category.
Every year, the Auxiliary gets applications for the Robert M. Cox Awards that demonstrate engagement, creativity and caring. This year, most of the in-person meetings have been cancelled — but the spirit of helping others doesn't just disappear because members can't meet in person. It actually requires even more creativity and planning. Everyone is having to think outside the box this year, so this is an opportunity to showcase that. An individual member whose state or city doesn't have an Auxiliary can also apply for these awards.
Those interested can also nominate a fellow Auxiliary member for the Larry Dore Member of the Year Award. The Larry Dore Member of the Year Award recognizes a single Auxiliary member’s outstanding contribution to the Auxiliary, the plumbing-heating-cooling industry and the community. This may include work at the local, state or national level.
Applications for both awards are available at www.phccnationalauxiliary.org/scholarships. The deadline to submit has been extended to Aug. 31, 2020.
