Due to the high level of interest in its first webinar on how to more safely reopen food and beverage establishments, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is partnering with SoCalGas to offer an additional webinar in its popular “After COVID-19” series.
Titled “After COVID-19: Plumbing and Gas Considerations for Food and Beverage Establishments,” the webinar will feature an in-depth discussion about reopening food and beverage establishments after a prolonged closure or greatly reduced use. Participants will go into additional detail on potential plumbing-related issues, focusing heavily on the considerations needed for the gas systems and appliances servicing these buildings. The webinar is set for 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT Wednesday, June 10.
The “After COVID-19” series is designed to provide jurisdictions, health departments, building owners and managers, and contractors with detailed information and guidance on reopening the various building types.
“We are excited to partner with SoCalGas on this additional webinar,” said Tony Marcello, IAPMO’s vice president of training and credential services. “We have been developing a great working relationship and they bring a high level of additional expertise to the table as well as the ability to help us reach a greater audience.
“We had an overwhelming level of interest and positive feedback for our first webinar on reopening food and beverage establishments,” Marcello added, “which made for an easy decision to develop and provide a follow-up webinar that also addressed the possible hazards and concerns for the gas systems and appliances in those facilities.”
Those interested can register for the June 10 webinar online. A recording of IAPMO’s first webinar on reopening food and beverage establishments is also available on IAPMO's Youtube channel.
