For three decades, PHCPPros - formerly TMB Publishing - has been delivering top-notch content to the plumbing, heating, cooling and piping community. The business-to-business (B2B) publisher owns four magazines: PHC News, Plumbing Engineer, The Wholesaler and Especificar. This year marks the 20th anniversary of PHC News and the magazine will be commemorating with new offerings.
In 2003, PHCPPros started its first magazine from the ground up, PHC News. Rounding out the company’s existing offerings to plumbing engineers, wholesalers and distributors, PHC News caters to plumbing and hydronic contractors and installers.
A recent internal survey revealed that 89 percent of PHC News readers have purchased or stocked a product as a result of an ad in the magazine.
“Our ads are taken seriously and we benefit daily from the extensive readership and quality content in each issue of The Wholesaler, PHC News and Plumbing Engineer. Great opportunities abound in digital, print, editorial and advertising making these marketing platforms the place to be seen and heard,” explained Melanie Pender, president and creative director at Falcon Stainless.
The editorial excellence of PHC News is maintained by chief editor, Steve Smith. Smith started his career in the PHCP industry in 1990 and has led PHC News since 2015. Smith earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
To celebrate this milestone year, Smith and his team will develop special editorial spotlights and features. The PHCPPros marketing team will also be launching commemorative digital campaigns and special opportunities. One such opportunity is “PHC News In The Classroom.” During each quarter of 2020, more than 25 trade schools will receive a magazine for each student enrolled in a PHCP-related program.
