RLS LLC, manufacturer of the RLS Rapid Locking System line of flame-free press fittings for the HVAC and refrigeration industries, announced that as of Dec. 9, distributors are able to purchase RLS products direct from the company’s Missouri factory.

Since the product line was launched in 2015, the RLS patented technology has been widely, and globally, adopted as a faster, safer and more consistent method of connecting HVACR copper tube, replacing the time-consuming process of brazing. RLS fittings are the only press-to-connect fittings in the world that are fully registered and listed to UL207 for pressures up to 700 psi, and they are backed by an industry-leading 10-year limited warranty.

RLS is the designer, patent holder and manufacturer of 100 percent of the more than 8 million fittings that have been installed worldwide. Installers who have used the product already know to look for the letters “RLS” on the fitting to be assured of a successful connection. Now, in an effort to further increase adoption and offer improved technical support to the market, the product line is available directly from RLS.

RLS will now offer HVACR distributors improved lead times, low minimum order requirements, economical pricing and a host of other benefits. In addition, RLS customers will have access to new products coming in 2020, such as the “RLS XL” line of 1 ^5/8- and 2 ^1/8-inch press fittings, as well as other new innovations in the pipeline. RLS also offers a range of ancillary products compatible with RLS technology, including Y-joints, P-traps, valves, filter driers and sight glasses.
