Meier Supply is proud to have been voted ESOP Company of the Year at the annual ESOP (employee stock ownership plan) conference. The conference took place at Kalahari Resort, where more than 275 attendees representing over 100 employee-owned companies met for two days to collaborate on all things ESOP related.

Meier Supply has always prided itself on empowerment of co-owners and promoting a team approach to all challenges, allowing everyone input to help find a resolution. This approach has helped it grow in sales and stock price exponentially over the past two years. The level and pride in ownership felt by co-owners is a feeling never seen in the history of the company. All of this is due to becoming 100 percent employee owned in 2016.

The company has a big presence in the community by involvement or donating to the following charities: Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society, Opportunities for Broome, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Handicapped Children’s Association, AVRE, Chamber of Commerce, Southern Tier Aids, Mom’s House, and A Room to Heal.

Meier Supply’s Dave Laliberte was selected as the ESOP Employee of the Year. Laliberte has been a co-owner at Meier for more than 13 years and has been involved in the ESOP committee for 10 years. He has been chairman of the committee and played an instrumental part in attaining new levels of company involvement through numerous ESOP events and continuous education at the branches.

Meier Supply Company is a wholesale distributor of HVAC/refrigeration products with more than 160 employees and 17 locations throughout New York and Pennsylvania. For four generations, the slogan “Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed” has been the foundation of the company. Its corporate offices and distribution center are located at 275 Broome Corporate Parkway, Conklin, New York.
