Progressive Plumbing Supply Co.  participated in the fourth-annual Sachse Construction Academy on Oct. 22 in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Detroit. The event featured 40 different demonstrations from various local trade partners to drum up excitement for careers in the skilled trades. New this year, the event also included a job fair geared toward 18-to-24-year-olds from Detroit and surrounding areas. Subcontractors and suppliers staffed tables, and attendees rotated to visit each booth.

Progressive Plumbing Supply Co. has participated in the event for the past few years. This year, the company gave students hands-on learning time, teaching them to install a faucet and drain piping on a floor-mounted laundry sink. Students also heard the company's sales pitch on the number of good jobs available in the plumbing industry.
