Viega LLC has won a top manufacturing safety award from the Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA).

Viega won the Processor Safety Recognition Award for medium-sized processors (between 125,000-500,000 manufacturing man-hours) at PPFA’s Fall Meeting this October. The award is for the member processor with the lowest incident rate of non-fatal occupational injuries and illnesses, based on Occupational Safety and Health Administration lost work data for 2018.

“Safety is a high priority for Viega in all its operations,” said Seth Larson, product manager, plastics. “It’s impossible to compile an outstanding safety record without the daily commitment of team members to ensure a safe and productive workplace.”

Viega manufactures PureFlow PEX pipe and fittings in McPherson, Kansas.
