The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Educational Foundation held its annual Plumbing and HVAC Apprentice Contests at CONNECT 2019 in Indianapolis. These contests could not be made possible without the generous support of volunteers and donors. To continue in the spirit of giving, at the conclusion of the contests the PHCC Educational Foundation donates much of the materials used in the competitions to local charities. This year, the foundation sought out the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity and provided it with those materials.
The Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is a home improvement thrift store that sells donated new and gently used merchandise at a significant discount to the general public. All proceeds benefit Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity as it builds homes, communities and hope for families in need of affordable homeownership.
“With the support of the PHCC team, we will help another hard working, low-income family strengthen their lives through the stability of homeownership, which in turn strengthens their community,” said ReStore Development Coordinator Andy Duncan. “Thank you for your generous gifts of bathroom fixtures, sinks, toilets, and building materials to the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity ReStore this year. We couldn’t accomplish our vision – a world where everyone has a decent place to live – without your support.”
The foundation's Plumbing and HVAC contests provide a platform for today’s industry professionals to showcase their skills and promote serving the community through the generosity of outstanding volunteers and donors.
