HI launched its Energy Rating Program in 2018 to make it easy for manufacturers and distributors to communicate energy efficiency, support power utilities in the development and operation of energy efficiency programs, and help end users identify pumps that offer energy and cost-saving benefits.
The announcement followed a review as directed by “America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2018,” which includes strong language officially authorizing the program in perpetuity.
DOE seeks data and information pertinent to whether amended test procedures would more accurately or fully comply with the requirement that the test procedure produces results that measure energy use during a representative average use cycle for the product, and not be unduly burdensome to conduct.
