The theme of the year’s AD meetings is “All In,” described as absolute commitment, pushing the status quo, getting fully involved and having an unwavering drive with customers, business partners and fellow associates.
With the mission to develop more effective leaders and a goal of helping women grow personally and professionally, event organizaers designed a curriculum that focused on change intelligence, mentoring and workforce development, personal branding, networking, negotiating, and empowering women to be their best selves.
Christopher Redfern, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 553 in Staunton, Illinois, won first place in the Plumbing Apprentice Contest and Kyle Robert Dennis, Pipefitters Local 539/Yale Mechanical in Saint Francis, Minnesota, won first place in the HVAC Apprentice Contest.
In addition to being an instructor at PHCC of GLAA, DeSantis regularly teaches at California Building Officials meetings and also serves as the mechanical code instructor for the city of Los Angeles.
With a background as a licensed master plumber and more than 30 years of experience along with his devotion for the trade, Midgett is recognized throughout the industry as an excellent instructor and mentor for students and apprentices.
