The bipartisan infrastructure package was signed into law by President Joe Biden Nov. 15; The water infrastructure portion of the package includes more than $50 billion in funding for rural towns and cities, as well as for Native American and underserved communities.
Canadian regulators, consumers, and other professionals with technical background in plumbing and mechanical systems, are requested to provide comments by no later than Jan. 11.
The legislation provides $944 billion in total spending over five years, totaling $550 billion in new spending, and represents a significant infusion of federal funding for U.S. public works across numerous industries.
