Harris Cos., based in St. Paul, Minn., has purchased Summit Mechanical, the mechanical and commercial plumbing divisions of Summit Fire Protection Co., also based in St. Paul.

Summit Mechanical will be rolled into an existing company division called Harris Service.

"The addition of Summit Mechanical’s experienced pipefitters, plumbers, sheet metal workers and talented office personnel offers tremendous possibility to grow and manage Harris Service," said Tom Danley, general manager, in a statement.
