David Weekley Homes announced Uponor North America, InSinkErator and Moen were winners of the annual Partners of Choice awards. This is the fifth time Uponor has walked away with the award, receiving an ‘A’ ranking in quality this year. InSinkErator earned the “A” ranking in 2012; this is the second year it received an “A, A” ranking for both quality and service, following the first win in 2014. This is the eighth time Moen has been honored with the award, receiving “A, A” rankings for quality and service across three categories in 2018.
In its 15th year, the Partners of Choice awards recognize companies who participate in David Weekley Homes’ yearlong assessment and feedback program that collaborates with suppliers to consistently set high industry standards and drive continuous improvement. Only six companies have won for the past five years in a row like Uponor.
“All our national trading partners are focused on achieving excellence, but many have never received our award,” said Bill Justus, vice president of Supply Chain Services for David Weekley Homes and creator of the assessment program. “Our unique assessment system allows us a quantifiable way to measure world-class excellence. To win for five years in a row confirms that Uponor is world class in bringing quality products to our company and to our homeowners.”
Joe Maiale, InSinkErator vice president of wholesale sales described the second win as doubly gratifying.
“To be recognized once is a great honor; to repeat the award from this distinguished partner is beyond rewarding,” said Maiale. “As a discriminating group of purchasers, David Weekley’s homeowners appreciate knowing they are receiving units from the disposer company proudly calling the USA home for the past 80 years, which also remains the top choice of plumbing and building professionals.”
For Moen, this year's selection is different than any other Partner of Choice award.
“What makes this award even more special this year is Moen earned it across faucets, accessories and garbage disposal product categories,” said Tim Shearer, Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group vice president – single family. “Our brand is built on the relentless pursuit of providing our customers exceptional value. This starts with consumer-preferred designs based on market research and data analytics, is supported by knowledgeable and dedicated sales professionals, and finally delivered by world-class operational efficiency.”
Since its inception in 2004, the Partners of Choice assessment program is continuing to set new industry standards for quality and process improvement, seeing an average increase of 13 percent each year in supplier engagement and progress.
