Speakman announced three senior-level appointments, bolstering the leadership team during a time of significant company growth. Bryan Schlack joined Speakman as chief financial officer, Tom Santer was appointed vice president of sales, and Kristin Barclay was appointed vice president of marketing.
This news comes on the heels of a recent brand identity refresh led by Barclay, which included a dedicated marketing campaign and the launch of the 145 year-old brand's first e-commerce site. Expanding the executive roster also coincides with the company's plans for continued growth in both its traditional channels and new consumer channels, with new product launches and strategic marketing initiatives planned for later this year and into 2016.
As CFO, Schlack will oversee all financial planning functions and compliance, and will also be taking on a key role in human capital management and corporate operations. Schlack brings over 20 years of progressive leadership and financial management expertise to the role, and previously held positions at Royal Ingredients and Decision Resources.
Tom Santer joins the executive team as vice president of aales, where he'll be responsible for leading and growing sales across all channels. Previously, Santer held vice president positions at Grohe in both its sales and distribution strategy divisions over his 12-year tenure, where he played an integral part in the brand's residential and commercial growth. Prior to Grohe, Santer was in sales leadership roles at ASB Companies, the holding company for plumbing fixture brands such as American Standard and Crane.
Kristin Barclay brings more than 15 years of experience in online and offline marketing, commerce, and media, with a focus on home and lifestyle brands such as Pottery Barn, BabyCenter, and The Knot (XO Group). Since joining Speakman last August as director of marketing, Barclay has been a driving force behind the company's revitalized positioning, branding and marketing efforts, including the successful launch of the company's new web presence, Speakman.com.
"We're thrilled to be expanding the leadership team during what we value as the most exciting time in the company's history," said Speakman Interim President and Chief Operating Officer Bob Knoll. "President Rob Cook was deliberately strategic in bringing Bryan, Tom, and Kristin on board; individually they bring tremendous talent to their respective areas, and their collective addition will be invaluable as we continue to reach new customers with the iconic Speakman brand."
