The WIT buying group is gearing up for its fall networking event, taking place in Salt Lake City from Sept. 26-29. Though only a few days for attendees to network with one another, WIT sees the timeline as more of an advantage than anything else.
“This event allows our distributors to fly in, participate in our business and networking meetings, and then return home,” says Devin Agonis, marketing and meetings manager for WIT & Co.
That short amount of time will be packed with news that will impact the group for the next year. At the fall networking event, WIT will conduct its annual Share Holder meeting where the board of directors and president are confirmed for 2017-2018.
Those attending the event for the first time are given the chance to meet some of the biggest names in the industry face-to-face.
“By far, the most important thing for any new distributor’s first meeting is to have them meet their fellow WIT distributors and staff,” Agonis says. “This allows them to begin putting a face with a name and lets them begin matriculating within the group.”
Outside of the networking opportunities at the conference hall, attendees will be able to take in the beautiful views of Salt Lake City.
“When possible, we move our Fall Networking Meeting around the country to visit many of our distributor headquarter locations,” Agonis says. “A major driver to visit Salt Lake City was the opportunity to see Standard Supply’s facility. Although most our distributors are familiar with Standard Supply’s success in a number of distributor venues over many years, they have never visited this facility.”
Those who attend the event will have a chance to network in a unique atmosphere. WIT Buying Group will host an off-site reception at Utah Olympic Park. This reception will include a tour of the 2002 Olympic facility, and members will get the opportunity to try their hands at some training applications.
“We like to provide attendees with at least one event that gives them an opportunity to get out of the hotel and enjoy the area,” Agonis says.
