Handy Hardware, a Hardware Holdings, LLC company, has concluded a highly successful Fall Market at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio today. This buying event was another opportunity for dealers to experience a re-invigorated Handy Hardware dedicated to facilitating its dealers’ success.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the attendance and participation at this year’s Fall Market,” said Craig Cowart, president of Handy Hardware. “Our double digit gain in attendance with close to a thousand attendees and over 500 manufacturers represents Handy’s focus on recapturing lost market share with both existing and new customers.”

In a business review with dealers, Cowart, who also heads the Local Market Division for Hardware Holdings, explained how the acquisition of Handy by Hardware Holdings now gives Handy the capabilities of national distribution, greater buying power, a broader range of products, and the ability to provide owned brands that offer a value alternative to national brands with 30 percent to 60 percent margins in selected categories.

Handy Hardware’s strong commitment to branded distribution has been complemented by its owned value brands that were showcased throughout the market. Handy is currently carrying more than 45,000 in-stock items at its Houston distribution center, which includes nationally-distributed owned brands and branded manufacturers.  “Handy and Hardware Holdings together serve over 5,000 customers across the country through our five distribution centers.  We are now capable of meeting the needs of a broader range of customers both regionally and nationally,” said Cowart.

The Market has allowed dealers from across the country to come visit hundreds of exhibitors, discuss new ideas and trends, and gain access to industry information in an exhibit hall brimming with new items and deals.

Handy Hardware hosts two Markets each year—one for the Spring and one for the Fall. The next Handy Market will be the Spring 2016 Market which will return to Houston, Texas Jan. 21-23, 2016.
