The Houston Chronicle reports that MRC Global cut another 180 jobs as its net income dropped by nearly 60 percent in the second quarter of the year.
MRC has now cut 680 jobs total dating back to last year — 14 percent of what was its 5,000-person headcount — as the oil-field pipes, valves and fitting supplier has adapted to the low oil price environment.
