Dallas – Locally-based construction wholesaler and pipe fabricator Ameripipe Supply, Inc. announced it has reached an agreement to acquire fire protection fabricator Premier Fab, Inc. of Mabelvale, Arkansas, according to Blair Franklin, Ameripipe’s president and CEO.
As part of the agreement, Premier Fab Owner and President Danny Heathcock will continue to lead the company under a multi-year management agreement. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close by the end of May.
Founded in 1996, Premier fabricates fire sprinkler systems and distributes related products from a single location in the Little Rock suburb of Mabelvale. It serves contractors in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana, among other states. Premier is the only independent pipe fabricator of its kind based in Arkansas.
“Danny and his talented team have built a strong business, well-known for high integrity, quality and service,” Franklin said. “Our goal working together will be to increase Premier’s capacity and its reach through automation, infrastructure and new products.”
“We were very selective about who we might partner with,” Heathcock said. “It had to be a family business that we could trust to treat our employees and customers like we do. Ameripipe is a perfect fit for us.”
In addition to pipe fabrication services, Ameripipe’s Premier location will distribute pipe, valves, fittings, hangers and accessories from industry-leading manufacturers such as Bull Moose Tube, Tyco Fire, Globe Sprinkler, Guardian Equipment, Nibco, Watts, Ames, Spears, FPPI, Ward Manufacturing, Weldbend, Anvil and Elite. Ameripipe is a member of the Delta Distributors, LLC buying group.
“This transaction with Premier is a key part our next phase of growth,” Franklin said. “We’re building a bridge across the South between this deal in Arkansas and our move into Greater Atlanta.”
