St. Louis – The renovation of Gray Design Group’s corporate headquarters in Maplewood, Missouri, which included an HVAC system upgrade installed by Air Masters Corporation, has achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Landco Construction was the general contractor. To meet Gray Design’s air conditioning zoning needs and to maximize efficiency, Air Masters proposed and installed a split system solution for the 14,000-square-foot space.
The new system improved utilization of the existing rooftop unit capacity while adding individual controls for several conference rooms. Air Masters Project Manager Rich Kasznel and Project Engineer Jeremy Welch supported Gray Design Group throughout the complicated LEED certification submittal and review process. Air Masters also performed building load calculations and adjusted outside air ventilation without affecting employee comfort and HVAC control. Air Masters Corporation is a full-service HVAC, plumbing, piping, building automation and energy conservation firm with more than 200 professional and trade employees.
