The year’s premier professional development event for the plumbing industry will be held Oct. 28-Nov. 2 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
The American Society of Plumbing Engineers invites all plumbing system design, specification, and installation professionals to the premier industry event of the year, the 2016 ASPE Convention & Exposition, which is being held Oct. 28-Nov. 2 in Phoenix. Registration is now open at aspe.org/expo.
The cornerstone of this biennial conference is the ASPE Exposition – the only tradeshow dedicated exclusively to educating attendees on the latest innovations in plumbing products, systems, and services.
This year for the first time ASPE is offering guided tours to help attendees find exactly what they are looking for on the show floor. At the New Product Innovation Theater and New Product Innovation Showcase, attendees can obtain even more in-depth information about the hottest products on the market all in one convenient place. Also new this year is the Social Media Lounge where attendees can mingle with experts and attend short education sessions on how to maximize your presence online.
The keynote address just prior to the opening of the exposition on Oct. 31 will be given by Los Angeles Dodgers baseball legend Steve Garvey. A 10-time MLB All Star, Garvey won the Gold Glove four times, was a National League MVP, and holds the National League record for the most consecutive games played. His work with numerous charities including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blind Children Center, Sisters of Carondelet, Ronald McDonald House, and St. Vincent DePaul Center earned him Major League Baseball’s highest honor for humanitarian service, the Roberto Clemente Award. Garvey is a highly sought-after motivational speaker for his inspirational words on leadership, teamwork, and success.
For those who are looking for even more in-depth education on the latest plumbing system design techniques and technologies, the technical education portion of the 2016 ASPE Convention & Exposition will offer 25 sessions on topics, including preventing Legionella, LEED v4, Revit MEP 2015, rainwater harvesting, pressure booster systems, domestic hot water, and more. The sessions are divided into tracks based on experience level, so professionals at all career stages will be able to benefit from the presentations offered.
To kick off the 2016 ASPE Convention & Exposition, an exciting opening night party will be held at the Corona Ranch & Rodeo Grounds on Sunday, Oct. 30. In addition, on Oct. 31, numerous exhibitors will be hosting unique themed parties all over the city of Phoenix.
Another special feature this year is the all-day Women of ASPE Leadership Forum on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix Hotel. All female plumbing design professionals are invited to attend this unique event dedicated exclusively to helping women excel in the industry.
Several registration options are available for attendees. A full Convention & Exposition registration includes everything the event has to offer. Expo-only registrations include the Steve Garvey keynote address, two days to explore the exposition floor, and the Monday night exhibitor hospitality parties.
Discounted registration rates are available for ASPE members, and the early bird rate ends Sept. 28.
