Elkhart, Ind. - NIBCO INC. announced winners of its 41st annual mixed-doubles round-robin at the Wailea Tennis Club in Maui, Hawaii on Sunday, March 8. NIBCO sponsored the tennis contest in conjunction with the annual Mechanical Contractors Association of America Convention in Maui, Hawaii. This year’s champions were Steve Edwards (2012 champion) of WinWholesale, Inc., Dayton, Ohio; and Debbie Lewis of Gallo Mechanical, L.L.C., Metairie, La. Runners-up were Charles Usher, Jr. of Ideal Heating Company, Brookfield, Ill.; and Leighann Moll of Milwaukee Tool, Brookfield, Wis.
Finalists were Tom Duddy of Acorn Engineering Company, City of Industry, Calif.; Steve Richman of Milwaukee Tool, Brookfield, Wis.; Beth Usher of Ideal Heating Company, Brookfield, Ill.; and LeeAnn Philips of Southland Industries, Union City, Calif. NIBCO presented the top finishers with a hand-polished, custom-engraved NIBCO copper “T” fitting while the finalists each received a shiny copper elbow trophy with a clock insert.
New to this year’s event, NIBCO sponsored a kid’s clinic allowing novice to experienced players to work on their tennis skills while having fun. Next year’s MCAA Convention returns to Orlando, Fla., where NIBCO plans to host its traditional tennis event including a kid’s clinic.
