The Home Comfort Expo presented at GeoFarm and hosted by Corken Steel Products (www.corkensteel.com) marked its 15th consecutive year with a record-breaking, late-August 2024 event in Aurora, Ind. What began in 2009 as a specialized event focusing on geothermal heating and cooling has since evolved into a comprehensive showcase of the HVAC industry. This year, more than 620 participants — including contractors, technicians, owners, vendors and Corken employees — gathered to exchange knowledge, gain industry insights and further their professional development.
The expo, held on a picturesque 300-acre farm overlooking the Ohio River, offered attendees a full day of immersive learning, product demonstrations and hands-on experiences. Participants were chauffeured by tractor-pulled wagons to six educational stations, where they engaged with industry leaders on a range of HVAC-related topics. The outdoor setting provided a refreshing change from traditional classroom learning, giving contractors the opportunity to explore real-world applications while gaining insights from the industry’s top minds.
With major names such as International Comfort Products, ClimateMaster, LG, Lochinvar, and >B< Steel (Conex Banninger) leading the training sessions, contractors deepened their understanding of cutting-edge technologies and emerging trends. A vendor showcase featuring more than 40 suppliers further enhanced the experience, offering a glimpse into the latest products and innovations in the HVAC market.
Since its inception, the Home Comfort Expo has drawn more than 3,000 contractors nationwide, steadily growing in size and influence each year. The 2024 event was no exception, having sold out weeks in advance — a testament to the high demand for this one-of-a-kind learning opportunity. The event not only provides a wealth of education but also fulfills the continuing education requirements for many HVAC professionals, adding to its significance.
The Corken Steel Products team is proud of the Home Comfort Expo’s continued success and its role in shaping the HVAC industry. For the attendees, the Home Comfort Expo is not just a training event — it’s a vital part of staying connected, informed and at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry.
As the company looks toward the 2025 event, there is anticipation for even more growth, innovation and opportunities to support the HVAC community.
