Ice Air, a leading manufacturer of innovative HVAC solutions, is proud to announce it was recently named an approved NYC Accelerator Service Provider. As a member of the program, Ice Air will help fulfill NYC Accelerator’s goal of improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions in buildings across New York City by providing building owners and operators with resources, training, and expert guidance.
NYC Accelerator, a program of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice, is designed to put the city on a pathway to carbon neutrality while building healthier, safer communities. The program provides free resources to help building owners, managers, developers, advocacy groups, industry professionals and city residents implement energy and cost saving measures to decarbonize New York. Interested parties can access events and training, guidance on local laws and regulations, and assistance with project financing.
As a Service Provider, Ice Air stands ready to help implement building energy improvements. Ice Air’s expert team is well-versed in local laws, regulations, and incentives and is prepared to provide specialized guidance for any size residential or commercial project. This support extends to Local Law 97, which mandates caps on emissions from the city’s largest buildings and penalizes those that surpass their annual limits.
Ice Air is also honored to be part of NYC Accelerator’s network of Service Providers which provides resources to key building decision makers throughout the decarbonization process.
Ric Nadel, Ice Air Founder and CEO, said, “Decarbonizing New York City is a crucial and worthy cause. Ice Air’s dedicated team will share their knowledge to help building owners meet their goals in ways that also lower operating costs.”
“With the adoption of Local Law 97, HVAC design is essential,” added Tom Glass, Sales and Marketing Director. “Ice Air has the technology to reduce carbon emissions, and to do it with great efficiency and long-term value.”
