Rosemont, Ill. – ASPE’s Ethics in Plumbing Engineering webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2:00 p.m. EDT. This one-hour contact program provides Continuing Education Credits, or 0.1 CEUs/1.0 PDHs.
Ethics is an important issue in everyday business including plumbing engineering. This one-hour webinar will explore ethical guidelines to consider when specifying plumbing materials for projects. Discussion topics include:
•Treating others respectfully
•Safety and health
•Competing fairly and ethically
•Gifts & entertainment
•Conflicts of interest
The presenter will be Mark Tanner, CPD. Tanner has spent 30 years in the consulting engineering field during which time he achieved his Certified in Plumbing Design designation. He has spent a great majority of his career designing plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection systems, while also managing numerous construction projects – everything from military installations on various bases around the country to various marina systems and other high-tech projects for Intel and the Biosphere 2 project in Oracle, Arizona.
In 2008, Tanner made a professional career move and joined the Advanced Materials division of The Lubrizol Corporation, a chemical company located in Northeast Ohio which makes and compounds raw materials for various products, including the innovative resins and compounds used in the production of FlowGuard, BlazeMaster and Corzan piping systems. Among his role as a piping systems consultant for Lubrizol, he provides education and training on the technical aspects of CPVC piping systems and how they may fit into various construction projects.
