This morning, framed in Venice’s splendor, the eleventh Leonardo da Vinci award was assigned to Gruppo Pedrollo. Luigi Brugnaro, mayor of Venice, presented the award to Giulio Pedrollo, the Group’s managing director.
“This day has a particularly deep meaning for me and my family: the Leonardo da Vinci Award is, in fact, the first international recognition assigned to Gruppo Pedrollo," Pedrollo said. "Although in the past the single companies belonging to the Group have received numerous awards, today, thanks also to the affirmation of our strategy of internal growth and external add-ons we are living an important page in our history which gratifies the wilfulness of family-run companies in the desire to transmit their heritage and their values to future generations."
In fact, the prestigious Leonardo da Vinci award aims at enhancing the exceptional ability of family enterprises to transmit their heritage and their values to future generations.
“Principles such as attachment to the local territory, dedication to work, the constant research into innovation, the never-ending focus on quality, growing investment in sustainability animate our task every single day as a socially responsible company, as is our path towards internationalization," Pedrollo continued. "The sharing of these principles translates into a generational pact which goes beyond simple economic sustainability. Family-run companies represent the hard core of the Italian economy. We have a special resilience. Of course, at times the change from one generation to another may become an issue, but if properly prepared, it transforms into an extraordinary resource”, continues Giulio Pedrollo."
The Gruppo Pedrollo, which developed from Pedrollo SpA, has in fact expanded to even include City Pumps and the complimentary businesses of Linz Electric (alternators and welding machines), Gread Elettronica (electronics and software) and of Panelli (pumps and submersible engines). With the acquisition of Superior Pump, carried out in December 2022 through Pedrollo Group Inc., the Gruppo Pedrollo has reinforced its own leadership in hydraulic pump technology by focusing on a direct presence in the North American market. Today the group, which produces more than 3 million pumps, is present with its own products in over 160 countries thanks to its 12 sales branches; it numbers more than 1.200 employees and testifies worldwide to the values of Italian entrepreneurial ability.
