Forrest Anderson Plumbing and Air Conditioning Inc. (Forrest Anderson), a Glendale-based, family-owned business serving the greater Phoenix metro area since 1961, was honored as one of the fastest-growing alumni-owned organizations during the Sun Devil 100 Class of 2022 induction ceremony by Arizona State University's (ASU) Alumni Association. Forrest Anderson was listed as the highest-earning air conditioning service company and the sole plumbing service company inducted into the Class of 2022.
"I am so thankful for the opportunities ASU has opened up for me. This is an amazing achievement for myself and my company," said Audrey Monell, president of Forrest Anderson. "It is an incredible experience to connect back to my alma mater with this honor. The Sun Devil spirit influences our team at Forrest Anderson to elevate the customer experience and have an active presence in our community with innovative solutions."
Forrest Anderson joined the Class of 2022, which features 136 ASU alumni representing 107 organizations throughout a variety of industries. Together, the Class of 2022 achieved revenues of $15 billion for the last year, employed more than 130,000 people, and are located across 13 states.
"This is the eighth year Sun Devil 100 has celebrated entrepreneurs, changemakers and leaders who have graduated from ASU," said Christine Wilkinson, president and CEO of the ASU Alumni Association. "In alignment with ASU's charter, we are expanding the awards program to include revenue tiers and showcase more ASU alumni-owned and -led organizations. We are proud of each alum and the impact they've made in their fields."
Monell graduated from ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in economics in 2008, and has been leading the third generation of her family's business for over 14 years. As president, Monell modernized the 60-year-old family business with processes and services that increased the company's revenue by 23%, decreased costs by 10%, and expanded customer reach.
