The Labor Department is challenging a federal judge's decision last month to block the implementation of a new rule that would have made 4 million more Americans eligible for overtime pay.
The Department of Labor and its co-defendants filed a notice of appeal at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Dec. 1, the same day that the rule was set to take effect before the temporary injunction was issued.
