EPIC Piping has announced that it has acquired Minnesota-based BendTec Fabrication & Bending, the experienced induction pipe bender with over 100,000 bends in service.
The investment increases EPIC’s leading global production footprint, marks its entrance into union label projects and related markets, and significantly expands the Company’s industry capabilities in the energy and power, renewable, and infrastructure sectors.
The transaction also expands Epic’s production capabilities with the addition of BendTec’s substantial existing operations and plants, including the capability to produce the largest pipe bends in the world — at up to 66 inches in diameter. This will broaden EPIC’s current service offerings to customers across an array of markets.
“We are thrilled to have BendTec join EPIC and believe their team’s expertise and diverse business offerings will greatly enhance our company,” said Remi Bonnecaze, CEO of EPIC. “This acquisition is an exciting next step in our strategic growth plan, and I am confident that the combination of our deep manufacturing capabilities and experience and BendTec’s rich 100-plus year history will improve our position as the leading and most innovative pipe manufacturing company on the market.”
David Meierhoff, who will remain in a leadership role at BendTec as Director of Operations, added, “BendTec has maintained a strong reputation of delivering quality pipe fabrication and pipe bending to our customers for over a century. Our team looks forward to continuing to provide best-in-class services and creative solutions to our clients as a part of EPIC. We are truly excited about what we can accomplish together.”
