Merit Brass Co., a leading manufacturer of pipe nipples and master distributor of related pipe, valves, and fittings, has announced two new members to the Merit Family — Vice President of Sales John Durik and Vice President of Operations Glenn Bruce. The two individuals will help foster strengthened communication, leadership growth, internal efficiencies and increased sales.
“I am very excited to have Glenn and John join our team. They bring great experience and expertise to Merit Brass and will help us to become the PVF master distributor of choice,” President and Chief Operating Officer Darren Hilliard said.
Durik brings over 18 years of PVF experience within the mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection industries. He has held several leadership roles and has professional affiliations with AD and The Commonwealth Group. Durik is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and will oversee all of Merit’s sales and marketing personnel.
Bruce has a strong history of operational leadership spanning 25 years with notable Northeast Ohio companies such as Avery Dennison, Tranzonic, and Siffron. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Purdue, an MBA from Cleveland State University, and a certification in lean supply chain management from Georgia Tech. Bruce will oversee all of Cleveland operations (distribution, manufacturing, pipe, and quality and inventory control) and our distribution facilities in Birmingham, Dallas and Sparks.
“The key to future success is to surround yourself with talented individuals like John and Glenn, which will only strengthen our team," CEO Marc Schlessinger said.
