After over 27 years of dedicated service to Sid Harvey Industries Inc., Rich Carbonaro, vice president of purchasing, pricing, distribution and operations, is retiring at the end of June.
Carbonaro has had a long and successful career in the industry. Prior to arriving at Sid Harvey’s, his career started in 1974 as he began working for a refrigeration wholesaler. From 1982 until 1993, Carbonaro worked as a purchasing manager for a large, New York City-based mechanical contractor. In October 1993, he came to Sid Harvey’s as purchasing manager. Carbonaro was promoted to vice president of purchasing in May 2005. Since that time, he has also taken on the responsibility of the pricing, distribution and operations areas of Sid Harvey’s.
"Rich has been a tremendous asset to our company since he started as purchasing manager.” said President and CEO Sid Harvey. “I look forward to working with Rich as he transitions to a well-deserved retirement,"
Bob Moody, serving as Sid Harvey’s vice president of sales and marketing since 2017, will assume Carbonaro's responsibilities, as well as retaining his Marketing duties. Moody's new title is vice president of operations and marketing.
An almost 20-year veteran of Sid Harvey’s, Moody started his career as a branch manager in Malden, Massachusetts. He has also held positions of territory manager, regional sales manager, and national director of sales and marketing.
Moody and Carbonaro have been working together to ensure a smooth transition, as he takes on this new role. Moody's sales responsibilities will be taken over by Eric Pilcher.
Eric Pilcher, most recently serving as regional sales manager in New England, has been promoted to vice president of sales. He began his career at Sid Harvey’s in October 2002, as an outside sales representative. Pilcher was promoted to territory manager in 2015, and regional sales manager in 2016.
Prior to his career at Sid Harvey’s, Pilcher served as a military policeman in the US Army Reserves. Additionally, he spent 10 years working in the sporting goods and automotive industries. Pilcher has been working with Josh Jones, as Jones transitions into the regional sales manager position.
Jones has been promoted to regional sales manager in New England. He started his career at Sid Harvey’s in August 2011, and has successfully built and developed relationships with HVAC/R businesses and energy marketers, throughout Northern New England.
Prior to working at Sid Harvey’s, Jones spent 9 years working as a sales manager for a Chevrolet dealership, managing new and pre-owned sales divisions, and finance.
