Founded in 1971, Quality Mechanical specializes in industrial, commercial and residential HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal fabrication. With this purchase Harris Companies enhances its presence in the western U.S.
Quality Mechanical’s diverse portfolio includes tenant improvements, high-profile central plants, large-scale government contracting and mega-resorts. Led by President Doug Lea, Quality Mechanical employs 127 skilled professionals. Says Lea, “we are excited about becoming a part of the Harris family and we look forward to leveraging the added resources and capabilities Harris offers in order to best serve our clients in the region.”
Harris Companies’ President of Construction Michel Michno added: “Quality Mechanical’s strong position as a full-service mechanical contractor in Nevada and California, as well as its expertise in designing and building complex projects with demanding schedules, make it a great fit with Harris Companies. Harris is looking forward to working with Quality’s impressive staff as it services its customers nationwide.”
Quality Mechanical has strong brand recognition in the area and will retain their company name for the foreseeable future. They will operate as a division of Harris Companies.
“In any acquisition the cultural fit of the acquired company and the new parent company is critical for success,” says Harris Companies CEO Greg Hosch. “The leadership and employees of Quality share the values that will make for a quick and effective integration with Harris Companies.”
