Northeastern Supply, a Baltimore-based distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies, will open its 36th branch in December at 8397 Terminal Road in Lorton, Virgina.
The 36,000-square-foot warehouse features a one-acre outside storage yard, and will serve as a distribution hub supporting Northeastern’s branch locations in Metro DC, Northern Virginia, and the I-81 corridor. The Lorton location will also stock bulk materials such as PVC and cast iron pipe, enabling Northeastern to expand its plumbing and commercial offerings, reduce transportation costs, and support future expansion.
This location will be Northeastern’s second largest, only to their corporate headquarters in Baltimore. Lorton will be the hub they were looking for to support their push towards commercial plumbing, while still being able to support their current customers in both residential plumbing and HVAC — That being a full-service store, focusing on valued customers in both the residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and water systems segments featuring brands such as Watts, Oatey, Bradford White, Elkay, State Water Heaters, American Standard, TOTO and Zurn, just to name a few. Local inventory will be backed by a 200,000 square foot distribution center that is home to tens of thousands of products that are available at a moment’s notice.
“We have had a commercial plumbing presence in Northern VA for years, but never had the right mix of inventory and infrastructure to fully participate in the market. Lorton fixes that and then some," said Northeastern Supply Commercial Department Manager Joe Pierce. "Our customers and vendor partners will see a new Northeastern when it comes to breadth of product, dedicated commercial plumbing salespeople, and the right equipment to make seamless deliveries. I can’t wait to get to work!”
Northeastern Supply has announced Jared Bailey as the new branch manager for Lorton.
