The Granite Group Receives Workplace Recognition
September 8, 2020
The Granite Group, a Concord, New Hampshire-based distributor of plumbing, heating, cooling, water and propane supplies, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Business NH Magazine as a Best Company to Work For and a Top Family-Owned Business. As a company that works hard to build a workplace where people are happy to come to work each day, these awards are as meaningful as any other industry award the company has received.
"This is a celebration of the great people at The Granite Group and the family business that my father and grandfather started together almost 50 years ago. We are incredibly proud of the commitment our team members show each other and our customers every day," said Bill Condron, president and CEO of The Granite Group. "We will continue to ensure that they have the opportunity to thrive in an environment that values professionalism, exceptional service and an entrepreneurial spirit."
Announced in the September issue of BusinessNH Magazine, this is the second consecutive year that The Granite Group has made the list of Best Companies to Work For. The award is given to companies that go out of their way to create friendly workplaces.
"Knowing that winners were selected, in part, based on the results of a survey of our people is incredibly gratifying," said Tracie Sponenberg, chief people officer at The Granite Group. "It affirms our belief that The Granite Group is a special place."
Companies earning a spot on the 2020 list of Top Family-Owned Businesses are based in New Hampshire. Ranked in order of annual sales, The Granite Group is listed fourth of 143 companies that collectively make a significant impact on the state's economy. Founded in 1971 by Chairman Kevin Condron and his late father-in-law, Bill Kennedy, third-generation leader Bill Condron is now president and CEO. The full list of winners was published in the magazine's August issue.
