J. Ellis Plumbing and Heating, Townsend, Massachusetts, helped raise $10,000 for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, which fulfills life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The fundraiser was part of its “Celebrating our 10th Year in Business” promotion, where 1 percent of service revenue over 12 months was donated back to Make-A-Wish.
“Make-A-Wish has held a special place in my heart for years because they are able to create moments of happiness and a lifetime of memories to those families affected by critical childhood illness,” said Jody Ellis, owner of J. Ellis Plumbing and Heating.
Eight members of the J. Ellis Plumbing and Heating team took the day off on Oct. 29 to celebrate the accomplishment and present a check to Make-A-Wish at its Boston office. Their donation helped fund a wish for a child, and next year they hope to raise enough to fund two wishes.
