LAARS Announces Broad Expansion of Commercial Product Lines
During a recent sales meeting in Chicago, before hundreds of North American manufacturer’s reps, Laars Heating Systems leadership announced broad product line expansions in response to customer requests.
“This was the culmination of years of work, with feedback for enhancements coming in continually from the field as well as from our own research efforts,” explained John Brody, director of sales for Laars Heating Systems Laars, based in Rochester, New Hampshire, is a subsidiary of the Bradford White Corp.
“Laars’ commercial product portfolio – including an expanding range of volume water heaters and hydronic boilers – has grown substantially, with improvements large and small, all based on what our customers have asked for,” added Brody.
According to Brody, Laars leadership made deliberate, ongoing investments in people, technology and production capabilities, all with the goal to quickly bring these products to market to fill customer needs. Laars further expanded its multiple water heating technology platforms, allowing their reps and system designers the ability to recommend optimal solutions for an ever-widening range of applications. All products announced at this sales meeting will soon be available from Laars as they are released over the coming months.
Product lines announced include:
- MagnaTherm HTD commercial condensing boilers and volume water heaters: The MagnaTherm line of condensing boilers and volume water heaters received an impressive controls and combustion system upgrade. The new MagnaTherm HTD (High Turndown) series boasts O2 combustion trim control, full 20:1 turndown on all sizes (1600 to 4000 MBH) and Laars Linc icon driven controls. Combining these upgrades with 95 percent thermal efficiency and onboard Vari-Prime controls ensures optimized combustion and the highest total installed efficiency possible.
- OmniTherm vertical, near-condensing commercial boiler and volume water heater featuring a stainless steel heat exchanger, Category I, II, III and IV venting configurations and innovative electronic fuel to air ratio-controlled combustion system with capacities from 1250 to 3000 MBH. The OmniTherm brings industry leading application flexibility and reliability to the near-condensing commercial market segment.
- Laars Plate, a fully packaged semi-instantaneous plate and frame heat exchanger solution for commercial domestic water heating projects to be paired with hydronic heating boilers. Laars Plate is available in five models with capacities ranging from 20-120 gpm, stainless steel construction, and advanced temperature control functionality.
- Laars U.H.E. product line expansion, now with capacities up to 499 MBH and 119 gallons of storage. The U.H.E. commercial condensing, tank type water heater can be ordered in sizes ranging from 125 MBH to 499 MBH and with 60, 100, and 119 gallon storage capacities.
- Laars Electric Boiler, a commercial electric boiler with capacities from 30 to 300 KW (205 to 1025 MBH), ASME H-Stamp heat exchanger, modulating control with multi-boiler staging, and Delta and Wye 3-phase constructions. This is a solution for the expanding commercial electrification market segment.
