Audrey Monell Honored with 2018 ATHENA Young Professional Award
Forrest Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. President, Audrey Monell, has been recognized by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce as one of three finalists for the 2018 ATHENA Young Professional Award.
The ATHENA awards highlight three women each year who are at the top of their field, demonstrating excellence and initiative, while also helping other women succeed by serving as a role model, mentor and servant of the community
Monell has also dedicated time to help empower other women. This year, Monell hosted a Women in Industry workshop to introduce young adults to the trades and became Vice-President of the Executive Women’s International Phoenix Chapter, 2018-2019.
“I am honored and humbled to be recognized with all the finalists who embrace the ATHENA spirit to aim high and use their success to empower other women to achieve their dreams, “ said Monell. “This is especially meaningful because my success is a reflection on my mother’s unwavering guidance and support which emboldened me to reach great heights, inspire others and carry her legacy of servant leadership.”
Monell has led the team at Forrest Anderson since 2008. Since taking over the 57-year old family business, Monell has increased revenue 23 percent by developing new processes, launched a continuing education program for employees, implemented a successful digital marketing campaign and achieved an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.
Monell is one of three finalist in the category for young professionals, ages 24-35. All 11 finalists in three categories will be celebrated at the ATHENA Awards Luncheon October 2 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge in Phoenix.
