Utility Chemicals PTFE Thread Compound

Lead-free, pipe sealing compound for use on threaded and flanged joints on lines carrying high-pressure steam, oil, gasoline and most other solvents, various gases and refrigerants. It's also effective for acids, alkalis, salt water and fuels. This compound is loaded with PTFE particles that are the perfect size for maximum lubricity, but small enough to not get pushed out of the joint. Non-staining, non-toxic, non-conducting, non-corrosive, bright white and doesn’t separate like other compounds. Withstands temperatures from -2,000 degrees F to 5,000 degrees F and pressures to 10,000 psi. Meets Federal Specification TT-S-1732.
