Green Box Mechanical Opens in Portland

June 14, 2017

Green Box Mechanical, which bills itself “a completely new kind of contracting company that was created in response to the demand for single source, direct-to-consumer services focused on plumbing, HVAC and electrical services,” has opened in Portland, Oregon.

“In my experience working in this field for a number of years, I’ve come to admire contractors who do what they say they’ll do and do it well,” explains Green Box Mechanical founder J.C. Kootnekoff. “I wanted to extend that feeling of assurance to all of our customers – so they know we are committed to promoting both environmental responsibility and innovative solutions to things we all use every day in our homes and at work.”

According to its website, the company uses  “Good, Better, Best” three-tiered upfront pricing. Customers simply choose the option that best fits their budget and project. In addition, Green Box “is dedicated to recruiting, vetting and hiring service technicians with the best experience, talent, expertise, and communication skills.

The company’s website says it service technicians are UA Local 290 and the IBEW 48 Electrical Works.

“Green Box is dedicated to always recommending “smart” products whenever possible,” adds Kootnekoff, “we do this to help protect the planet, as well as the health and wellbeing of customers and service technicians.”
