Koldwave joins Mestek Distributor Products Group

Westfield, Mass. - Mestek’s Distributor Products Group welcomes Koldwave to our family of HVAC and hydronic heating and cooling companies. Koldwave, manufacturer of high efficiency portable cooling units previously operated under Mestex, Inc. located in Dallas. 

Koldwave was founded in Chicago in 1946 and acquired by Mestek, Inc. in 1995. The company’s long-standing history in the cooling segment Initially began with the production of industrial and commercial cooling equipment including oil coolers, unit coolers and beverage dispensers. Koldwave now produces specialty portable air conditioning and heat pumps.

All manufacturing will be moving to Mestek’s largest facility located in Farmville, NC with all sales and marketing, engineering, research and development moving to Mestek’s corporate campus in Westfield, Massachusetts.
