Wolseley to cut UK jobs and close branches despite rise in profits​

Wolseley will close 15 branches and cut "a couple of hundred" jobs in the UK due to a decline in repairs work.

The company closed 10 branches in the UK in the six months to January 31.

The news comes despite the company reporting an almost 6 percent increase in sales for its latest fiscal first half of the year.
